A peace committee in Raipur met to discuss the upcoming Ganesh Visarjan and Eid-Milad-un-Nabi, leading to decisions to ban DJs and firecrackers. ADM Umashankar Bande, ASP Lakhan Patle, and community leaders participated in the meeting. ASP Traffic I. Prashant Shukla and other departmental officials were also in attendance. During the Ganesh Visarjan and Eid-Milad-un-Nabi, extra police will be deployed on major intersections. Police made it clear that strict action will be taken against those who try to create chaos and disturb the peace. ASP Lakhan Patle mentioned that special attention will be given to the timing of the processions. The use of DJs will be completely prohibited. Firecrackers will also be banned this year. Routes are set, keeping traffic in mind. CCTV cameras will also be used for surveillance.
