Raipur / Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Chhattisgarh on November 1. Around 10 AM, under the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, the Prime Minister will interact with 2500 children who have successfully undergone treatment for congenital heart diseases at the ‘Gift of Life’ ceremony at Shri Satya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.
After this, around 10:45 AM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate “Shanti Shikhar” of Brahma Kumaris, a modern center for spiritual education, peace, and meditation.
After this, around 11:45 AM, the Prime Minister will unveil the statue of Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji at the new building of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. Following this, he will inaugurate the new building of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. This building has been constructed on the concept of a green building, with plans to make it fully solar-powered and equipped with a rainwater harvesting system. He will also address the gathering on this occasion.
Around 1:30 PM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and inspect the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum. This museum will preserve and showcase the heritage of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the state’s tribal communities. The Prime Minister will launch the museum portal and e-book “Adi शौर्य” in honor of the freedom fighters and unveil the equestrian statue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh at the memorial site.
After this, around 2:30 PM, the Prime Minister will participate in the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav, organized to celebrate the completion of 25 years of the formation of Chhattisgarh state. The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for developmental and transformational projects worth over Rs 14,260 crore related to key sectors such as road, industry, health services, and energy.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate 12 new Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Program (SVEP) blocks in nine districts of Chhattisgarh to strengthen rural livelihoods. The Prime Minister will participate in the housewarming of 3.51 lakh completed houses and release installments of Rs 1200 crore to 3 lakh beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), ensuring dignified housing and security for rural families across the state.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a four-lane Greenfield highway from Pathalgaon-Kunkuri to the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border to boost connectivity. It is being developed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under the Bharatmala project at a cost of approximately Rs 3,150 crore. This strategic corridor will connect major coal mines, industrial areas, and steel plants in Korba, Raigarh, Jashpur, Ranchi, and Jamshedpur. It will serve as a major economic route, strengthening regional trade relations and integrating central India with the eastern region.
Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the construction and upgradation of National Highway-130D (Narayanpur-Kasturmeta-Kutul-Nilangur-Maharashtra border) spread across several sections in Bastar and Narayanpur districts. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the upgradation of National Highway-130C (Madangmuda-Devbhog-Odisha border) into a two-lane highway with paved shoulders. This will significantly enhance road connectivity in tribal and remote areas, improve access to healthcare, education, and markets, and promote socio-economic development in remote regions.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the inter-state ER-WR interconnection project in the power sector, which will increase the inter-state power transfer capacity between the Eastern and Western grids by 1,600 MW, improve grid reliability, and ensure stable power supply across the region.
The Prime Minister will dedicate several energy sector projects worth over Rs 3,750 crore, including laying the foundation stone for new ones, aimed at strengthening Chhattisgarh’s power infrastructure, improving supply reliability, and enhancing transmission capacity.
The Prime Minister will dedicate works worth approximately Rs 1,860 crore under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). These include the construction of new power lines, feeder segregation, installation of transformers, conversion of conductors, and strengthening of low-voltage networks to improve rural and agricultural power supply. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate nine new electricity substations built at a cost of about Rs 480 crore in districts like Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Bemetara, Gariaband, and Bastar. This will benefit over 15 lakh people by ensuring stable voltage, reducing outages, and providing reliable electricity even in remote and tribal areas. Additionally, foundation stones will be laid for new substations and transmission projects worth over Rs 1,415 crore, including major facilities in Kanker and Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara, along with new RDSS works in several districts, to further enhance electricity access and quality in the state.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate HPCL’s state-of-the-art Petroleum Oil Depot in Raipur in the Petroleum and Natural Gas sector. Built at a cost of over Rs 460 crore, this depot has a storage capacity of 54,000 kiloliters of petrol, diesel, and ethanol. This facility will serve as a major fuel hub and ensure seamless supply in Chhattisgarh and neighboring states. With a 10,000 kiloliter ethanol storage capacity, the depot also supports the ethanol blending program, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and promoting clean energy development.
The Prime Minister will also dedicate the 489 km long Nagpur-Jharsuguda natural gas pipeline, built at a cost of approximately Rs 1,950 crore. This project is a major step towards increasing the share of natural gas in India’s energy mix to 15 percent and achieving the goal of “One Nation, One Gas Grid”. This pipeline will connect 11 districts of Chhattisgarh to the national gas grid, promoting industrial development and providing clean and affordable fuel to the region.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for two Smart Industrial Areas—one in Siladehi-Gatwa-Birra in Janjgir-Champa district and the other in Bijletala in Rajnandgaon district—to promote industrial development and employment. Additionally, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for a Pharmaceutical Park in Sector-22 of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. This park will serve as a dedicated zone for pharmaceutical and healthcare manufacturing.
To boost the healthcare sector, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for five new government medical colleges — in Manendragarh, Kabirdham, Janjgir-Champa, and Geedam (Dantewada)—and a Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital in Bilaspur. These projects will strengthen medical education in Chhattisgarh, increase healthcare access, and promote traditional medicine.
