The Janjgir-Champa police in Chhattisgarh conducted a raid targeting an illegal gambling operation. The raid, which took place in the Chhata forest of the Pantora area, was prompted by reports of extensive gambling activities. While the gamblers managed to escape upon the arrival of the police, law enforcement officials successfully seized 17 motorcycles.
Reports indicated that gambling had been prevalent in the Chhata forest for some time, with authorities previously unable to make arrests. SP Vijay Pandey was alerted to the gambling activities taking place in the Chhata forest. In response, SP formed a police team, including personnel from the Baloda police station and the Pantora sub-police station.
Although the gamblers evaded capture during the raid, 17 motorcycles were recovered as evidence. The police are continuing their investigation and are taking further action.
