The district administration in Pendra has responded with stringent measures to address the issue of negligence in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended for his lapses and lack of attention to his responsibilities. At the same time, a show cause notice has been issued to Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant of the same panchayat.
Further, orders have been given to immediately transfer the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat to another location. The actions were taken at the behest of District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaidh, who has emphasized that any form of negligence in the government’s schemes will not be tolerated. He has alerted all panchayat employees, stating that strict action will be taken against those who undermine the progress of crucial programs like the PMAY. The administration’s strict measures have resulted in a heightened sense of urgency among the panchayats, with directives issued to ensure the timely and transparent execution of various schemes.
