Governor Raman Deka conducted a comprehensive review meeting in Godbahal, Pithora, assessing the advancements of development projects and government programs. He provided clear directives to expedite work and ensure the quality of implemented initiatives. The Governor analyzed departmental performance across sectors such as health, education, nutrition, agriculture, skill development, financial inclusion, and infrastructure. He instructed all departments to intensify their efforts to fulfill over 90% of the goals set under the Aspirational Block program. Governor Deka stressed that the benefits of government priorities must reach the most vulnerable populations. He underscored the importance of water conservation, mandating tangible efforts for water harvesting in all villages. He also directed the swift construction of vital infrastructure like dabris, soak pits, and injection wells to optimize rainwater collection and improve groundwater conditions. Emphasizing animal husbandry as a pivotal rural livelihood source, he encouraged its promotion for income generation and nutritional security. Discussions encompassed tourism development through the preservation of local natural and cultural heritage, aiming to create new employment prospects. The Governor also focused on road safety, advocating for robust measures to prevent accidents, including widespread awareness campaigns on the significance of helmets and traffic regulations. He praised the contributions of women’s self-help groups, and encouraged the expansion of their economic ventures. He also highlighted the necessity of strengthening banking facilities to improve financial inclusion in rural regions. Focusing on health and nutrition, the Governor emphasized the identification and constant monitoring of undernourished children, along with leveraging the Nutrition Tracker for monitoring. He encouraged data alignment among Mitanin, Women and Child Development, and Health departments. He also ordered regular training for teachers and specialized training at the state and district levels. Field visits to assess the on-ground execution of schemes and to collect feedback from beneficiaries were also instructed. Furthermore, Governor Deka advocated for active participation in the ‘A Tree for Mother’ campaign, urging for tree planting and inspiring others, while also mandating the planting of saplings in all government offices.
