An Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team in Janjgir-Champa district has taken action against corruption, leading to the arrest of a Patwari. The Patwari, Balmukund Rathore, who was posted at Gram Halaka No. 19, Dharashiv Putpura, was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of ₹20,000. The ACB initiated the operation after receiving a complaint from Satendra Kumar Rathore, who alleged that the Patwari demanded a bribe for land rectification and demarcation work. The ACB laid a trap and made the arrest on Friday. The arrest has caused a reaction in government departments, and an investigation has been launched against the accused.
