Raipur’s Budhapara Stadium became the epicenter of motorsports action with the commencement of the National Supercross Bike Racing Championship, inaugurated by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. In a symbolic gesture, the Chief Minister took a motorcycle ride to officially launch the event, accompanied by a resounding display of support from the attending crowd, especially the youth. This championship forms a significant part of Chhattisgarh’s ongoing Silver Jubilee Year celebrations, with a strong emphasis on cultivating discipline, responsibility, and a culture of safety among young motorcycle enthusiasts.
Chief Minister Sai used the platform to deliver a powerful message on road safety, urging all riders to prioritize helmets and traffic rules. Sharing a video of his ride, he stated, “Your life is precious, therefore always wear a helmet while riding a two-wheeler and follow traffic rules. Do not race on the road at all.” He added, “The speed of our youth is the strength of the nation — but that speed must be safe and balanced. That is the true victory.” The championship, set to run on November 8th and 9th, is held on a specially designed safe racing track, highlighting Chhattisgarh’s commitment to developing motorsports responsibly. Ujjwal Deepak, President of the Chhattisgarh Motor Sports Association, affirmed the event’s broader impact, emphasizing, “Let speed be a passion, not a danger,” ensuring that the MRF National Supercross Championship 2025 serves as both an exciting spectacle and an educational platform.
