The purpose of the visit was to meet with the children, assess their conditions, and learn about the services the agency offers. The minister acknowledged the efforts of the organization in child protection, nutrition, healthcare, education, and rehabilitation. She emphasized the importance of such agencies in driving positive change within the community. Seva Bharati Matru Chhaya Shishu Griha, a recognized special adoption agency, provides a nurturing environment and facilitates the adoption of abandoned, orphaned, and vulnerable children. The institution provides age-appropriate support in nutrition, education, and healthcare.
Minister Rajwade directed officials to provide ongoing technical and administrative support to these institutions to ensure a higher quality of life for the children. She also confirmed the state government’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the adoption process to make it more transparent, empathetic, and easier to navigate. The inspection was attended by district-level officials from the Women and Child Development Department, Child Protection Unit members, and the director of the institution, who briefed the minister on the agency’s operations and its current status.
