A dramatic situation unfolded in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh, where a man’s presumed drowning at the Gangrel Dam turned out to be a deliberate act. Hemant Chandravanshi, facing financial hardship, left his belongings near the dam to create the illusion of drowning. This led to an extensive 12-day search operation. The police, initially focused on the search and rescue, eventually shifted their focus to the possibility of a staged disappearance. Tracking his second mobile number led them to Delhi, where Chandravanshi was discovered. The man had arrived with friends and after spending the night at a resort, he disappeared while his friends were away. The police confirmed that Chandravanshi’s actions were driven by debt and that legal action would follow.
