In a major announcement, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai unveiled a comprehensive development package worth 186 crore rupees for the Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district. The announcement and inauguration took place at a program held at the Government Lochan Prasad Pandey College campus in Sarangarh. The package included the inauguration of completed development works valued at 96 crore rupees and the foundation laying for projects worth 90 crore rupees. Moreover, CM Sai declared allocations of 13.40 crore rupees for diverse projects aimed at upgrading public facilities.
Addressing the audience, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to delivering on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promises. He detailed the ongoing procurement of paddy from farmers at 3,100 rupees per quintal, with a target of purchasing 21 quintals per acre. He also noted the sanction of 18 lakh homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, where construction is in full swing, creating a high demand for construction workers and materials in rural areas.
CM Sai also highlighted the success of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, which is providing financial assistance to 70 lakh women across the state, empowering them to start their own businesses. He referenced the example of women in Dansara, Sarangarh, who used the scheme’s funds to begin constructing a Ram temple. Other significant initiatives include the increased prices for tendu leaves and the distribution of 10,000 rupees each to 5.62 lakh landless agricultural laborers. The Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana has facilitated visits to Ayodhya Dham for 22,000 devotees.
Revenue and District in-charge Minister Tankram Verma emphasized the government’s sustained focus on accelerating development across both rural and urban areas in the state over the past 18 months. He stressed that the substantial investment in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh would substantially enhance public services.
Member of Parliament Radheshyam Rathia highlighted the accelerating progress of development projects and infrastructure upgrades in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, including improvements to roads, education, healthcare, and the implementation of the PM Awas Yojana.
Jagdalpur MLA Kiran Dev observed that the state is experiencing developmental progress under Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, coupled with the implementation of Prime Minister Modi’s welfare programs. The 186 crore rupee package will strengthen infrastructure in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Sai announced various specific development projects: 5 crore rupees for the construction of a Gaurav Path from Bharat Mata Chowk to Kosir Chowk, 1 crore rupees for the construction of a garden in the Sarangarh municipality, 3 crore rupees for constructing a building for the PG College, 2.5 crore rupees for the renovation of the indoor stadium, 1 crore rupees for the repair of the boys’ hostel, 40 lakh rupees for constructing patient rooms in the new district hospital, and 50 lakh rupees for the expansion of facilities at the bus stand.
The event was attended by Chhattisgarh Housing Board Chairman Anurag Singhdev, other elected officials, government officers, and numerous notable citizens.
