A significant disaster occurred in Paragaon, within the Gobra Nawapara tehsil area of Chhattisgarh. A lightning strike near the Mahanadi River resulted in the immediate death of 27 goats and sheep, while seven more suffered severe injuries. Witnesses reported that the lightning struck during a sudden and intense downpour. The animals were grazing at the time of the lightning strike. The incident has created a crisis for three families in the village, whose livelihoods depended on these animals. Immediate financial aid has been requested to assist the affected families.
