Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated a new convention center in Korba and launched development projects valued at ₹223 crore. The convention center has been named after Mata Ahilyabai Holkar, with a statue unveiled at the entrance. During the event, Chief Minister Sai underscored the importance of the new infrastructure, including road projects worth ₹145 crore, in enhancing the quality of life for Korba residents. He announced plans to equip the convention center with air conditioning, ensuring it could host large events. The Chief Minister praised the Housing Board’s efforts and highlighted the impact of previous development allocations. He paid tribute to Lokmata Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar and her contributions and addressed the request for an aluminum park in Korba.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao highlighted the historical significance of the day, celebrating the convention center’s renaming and recognizing the life and contributions of Mata Ahilyabai Holkar. Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan highlighted the government’s development efforts and the recent allocations for Korba, and requested support for an aluminum park. Collector Basant and other local officials also attended the event. Chief Minister Sai extended condolences regarding the recent plane crash.
