In a disturbing case from Balrampur, Chhattisgarh, a bride, Sunita, has been charged with murdering her husband, Budhnath. The marriage took place recently. Sunita had reportedly attempted to kill her husband three times before finally succeeding. The fatal attempt involved poisoning his food. Sources suggest that Sunita was unhappy with her husband’s appearance and had opposed the marriage. Following the wedding, she avoided staying with him. Under pressure, she returned to her marital home and subsequently planned to eliminate her husband. She purchased a poisonous substance and added it to his chicken dinner, resulting in his death. The police investigated following a complaint from the deceased’s mother and arrested Sunita, who later confessed.
