Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai is visiting Janjgir-Champa district today to lead a meeting of the Scheduled Caste Development Authority in the Zilla Panchayat meeting room. The Chief Minister interacted with the media at the helipad before proceeding to Janjgir-Champa, alongside Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Minister Tankram Verma, and MLA Guru Khushwant Saheb. During the media briefing, the Chief Minister discussed the meeting, confirming it is taking place in Janjgir. The Vice-Chairman of the Scheduled Caste Development Authority is MLA Khushwant Saheb. The meeting will cover several topics, with attendance from numerous officials of the Scheduled Caste Development Authority. He also shared his thoughts on Trump’s tariff hikes, saying that it was not expected. Regarding the Chhattisgarh government’s ongoing work in the mineral sector, the Chief Minister highlighted the rich mineral reserves in Chhattisgarh and how their extraction will generate royalties for the state. Concerning the half electricity bill scheme, the Chief Minister explained that the government is transitioning to free electricity. The Prime Minister’s Solar Free Electricity Scheme includes subsidies from the Indian government for homes and additional subsidies from the state, with a total cost of 108,000. Efforts are underway to secure bank financing for this project.
