The upcoming Bastar Dussehra and Muriya Darbar in Jagdalpur on October 4th will see Union Home Minister Amit Shah participating in the distribution of funds to beneficiaries of the Chhattisgarh government’s Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The event will involve the transfer of 606.94 crore rupees to the bank accounts of the women. This represents the 20th installment of the program, benefiting 64,94,768 women. The Mahtari Vandan Yojana, launched on March 1, 2024, aims to provide financial assistance to married women above 21 years of age, with each receiving 1,000 rupees monthly to foster self-sufficiency. The scheme has previously disbursed 12,376.19 crore rupees through 19 installments. The forthcoming distribution, led by Amit Shah, will increase the total disbursed amount to over 12,983.13 crore rupees.
