Raipur, September 30, 2025/ Under Seva Fortnight 2025, the state-level event of International Old Persons Day will be held on October 1 at 11 am at the Agriculture Auditorium of the Agriculture College complex located in Jora, Raipur. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai will be present as the chief guest. The program will be presided over by Minister of Social Welfare and Women and Child Development Smt. Laxmi Rajwade.
In this program, Minister of Chhattisgarh Government Shri Kedar Kashyap, Shri Tankram Verma, Shri Guru Khushwant Saheb, MP Shri Brijmohan Agarwal, MLA Shri Rajesh Munat, Shri Purandar Mishra, Shri Sunil Soni, Shri Motilal Sahu, Shri Indra Kumar Sahu, Shri Anuj Sharma and Mayor Smt. Minal Choubey along with other public representatives will be present as special guests.
In the state level event, special programs will be organized to honor senior citizens, their welfare, health, social security and to empower their active role in the society. The program will also include cultural performances, experience sharing sessions, health check-up camps and motivational talks.
The objective of this program organized by the District Administration and Social Welfare Department is to recognize the contribution of the elderly in the society, to honor them and to promote their social participation. On this occasion, senior citizens will be honored for their contribution in various fields of life and awareness related to their rights and welfare will also be increased. During the program, information about the latest government schemes and initiatives related to the welfare of the elderly will also be shared by the guests present, so that the senior citizens of the society can get direct benefit.
