The launch of the Vikram microprocessor at the Semicon India 2025 conference marks a pivotal moment in India’s technological development. This indigenous 32-bit microprocessor is a symbol of India’s technological self-sufficiency and innovation. The Vikram processor, developed using entirely domestic technology, is specially designed for ISRO’s space launch vehicles. This advancement will strengthen India’s space technology while also displaying its technical expertise on a global level. CM Sai noted that this accomplishment is a direct result of the efforts of India’s young engineers and scientific community. He underscored that this indigenous microprocessor signifies India’s emergence as a leading manufacturer and technological innovator. This achievement will provide further impetus to programs such as Digital India, Make in India, and Atmanirbhar Bharat. The indigenous microprocessor will be instrumental in space research, defense, communication, and other high-tech areas. CM Vishnu Deo Sai conveyed his congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, acknowledging that this achievement represents a new golden era for India and will be a source of inspiration for future generations.
