Awards and medals will be distributed by various departments during the Independence Day celebrations. Departments are required to form juries and submit the names of selected awardees to the General Administration Department by July 29, 2025; proposals received after this deadline will not be considered.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will deliver a message to the public, which will be broadcast across the state via Doordarshan and All India Radio. Following the main ceremony, students will perform patriotic group dances and songs. The School Education Department will form a jury and manage the children’s programs, with awards presented at the event. The Collector, Superintendent of Police, and Municipal Commissioner of Raipur have been assigned key responsibilities related to the Independence Day main ceremony arrangements.
Lighting arrangements will be provided for all public buildings and national monuments on the night of August 15. Private institutions are also urged to participate in flag hoisting and lighting. The Collectors have been instructed to organize programs and exhibitions at the district, block, and panchayat levels. Freedom fighters and the families of soldiers who lost their lives in Naxal violence will be invited as honored guests to the ceremony.
