Raipur, October 19, 2025/ The Korea district of Chhattisgarh has once again made its mark at the national level with its development journey at the ‘National Conclave on Aadi Karmyogi Abhiyan’ organized at Vigyan Bhavan in the country’s capital, New Delhi. In this grand ceremony organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, President Smt. Droupadi Murmu honored Smt. Chandan Tripathi, Collector of Korea district, for her excellent work in the Dharti Aba Tribal Village Upliftment Campaign. On this occasion, Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Shri Juel Oram and Minister of State Shri Durga Das Uikey were also present. Shri Sonmani Bora, Principal Secretary of the Chhattisgarh government, also received honor from the President for outstanding performance at the state level.
*A New Example of Development in 154 Tribal Villages*
Under the ‘Dharti Aba Tribal Village Upliftment Campaign’, the benefits of 25 schemes from 17 departments of the government have been provided to approximately 38 thousand tribal families in 154 tribal-dominated villages of Korea district, including 138 villages in Baikunthpur block and 16 villages in Sonhat block. Through camps and door-to-door campaigns, beneficiaries have been linked to schemes like Ayushman Card, PM Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Ujjwala, Caste-Domicile Certificate, Forest Rights Patta, Ration Card, Kisan Credit Card, PM Awas Yojana, Sickle Cell Testing, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, and PM Crop Insurance Scheme. Due to timely implementation and grassroots innovations, this initiative has become a symbol of public participation.

It is a matter of pride for the district that the efforts being made in the tribal areas of Korea district, Chhattisgarh, have received national recognition. This honor symbolizes Korea’s achievements in innovation, public participation, and sustainable development.
*From Bastar to Sarguja, Every Tribal Family Should Be Brought into the Mainstream of Development – Shri Sai*
Expressing happiness over this achievement, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said, “This honor is a recognition of our Karmayogis who have realized tribal empowerment on the ground. The state government’s objective is to bring every tribal family from Bastar to Sarguja into the mainstream of development and empower them at every level.”

Shri Ramvichar Netam, Minister for Primitive Caste Development in the Chhattisgarh government and in-charge Minister of Korea district, said that this achievement is the result of the hard work of our officials, field staff, and public representatives, who have taken the light of schemes to every citizen despite difficult geographical conditions. He further stated that taking schemes to every citizen and ensuring they receive benefits is good governance.
