A man was killed in Chhattisgarh’s Dhamtari district following a violent confrontation stemming from a dispute over fireworks during a birthday celebration. The incident unfolded in the Mahimasagar ward on Thursday night. Naresh Kumar intervened when a group of youths were setting off fireworks, requesting them to stop due to the noise. This request sparked an angry reaction from Hemant, Dinesh, and Sunil.
The argument quickly escalated, leading to a physical fight. Although the initial conflict was diffused, the same individuals later returned and attacked Naresh with a knife, inflicting a fatal wound. Naresh was immediately taken to the Dhamtari District Hospital, but his injuries proved fatal.
The police have apprehended the three suspects and initiated a murder investigation, as stated by ASP Manishankar Chandra. The community is in mourning, with the incident raising concerns about increasing violence and the need for peaceful conflict resolution. Local authorities have appealed for calm and urged residents to adhere to the law.
