The Chhattisgarh government is providing subsidies for consumers who install solar rooftop plants in the state. In addition to the central government’s assistance, the state government will contribute to the cost. For a 1-kilowatt solar plant, the state will offer a subsidy of ₹15,000, with the central government providing ₹30,000. For plants of 3 kilowatts or greater, the state’s subsidy will be ₹30,000, and the central government’s contribution will be ₹78,000. The subsidy amount is dependent on the solar plant’s capacity.
Housing Societies and Residential Welfare Associations are also eligible for these subsidies. The Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL) is managing this scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana, supporting the goal of promoting renewable energy and reducing electricity costs for consumers.
