Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, while directing all the principal officers of the Health Department, has said that the availability of medicines should be ensured to the last person. He has said that there are better possibilities of treatment through Ayush in the state, which needs to be further expanded. He said that health facilities should be expanded in the interest of the general public. He said that better facilities should be ensured for the patients in the hospitals and they should get good treatment near their homes. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai was reviewing various schemes of the Health Department in the secretariat today. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has directed the officers of the Health Department to work on diseases like anemia, maternal program and leprosy on priority.
In the meeting, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, while informing the Chief Minister, said that Chhattisgarh is at 5th position in the country in the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) program. He said that in the coming days, the health facilities in the state will continue to expand further. Shri Jaiswal, while giving information about the achievements made in the field of health after the formation of the state government, also presented the future plans before the Chief Minister.
Health Department Secretary Shri Amit Kataria, while giving information about the meeting, said that the state of Chhattisgarh is doing better work in the direction of eradication of diseases like TB and malaria. The treatment success rate in the direction of TB eradication is 90 percent, while during this time 100 percent of TB patients have been notified. Along with this, the target of 94 percent of vaccination has been achieved in the state by March 2025.

Shikha Rajput Tiwari, Managing Director NHM and Commissioner cum Director Dr. Priyanka Shukla, Controller of Food and Drug Department Shri Deepak Agrawal and senior officers of the Health Department were present in the review meeting of the Health Department.
