Raipur witnessed the inauguration of a comprehensive training program for newly elected Zila Panchayat Presidents and Vice-Presidents. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, addressing the event at the Thakur Pyarelal State Panchayat and Rural Development Institute, underscored the significance of Panchayati Raj institutions as the foundation of rural progress. He highlighted the opportunity and responsibility entrusted to the newly elected leaders and their potential to effect significant change within their districts. He reflected on his own political journey, beginning as a Panch, and acknowledged the public’s role in his elevation to the position of Chief Minister. The CM shared inspiring examples of community service by Dr. Achyut Samant and Nanaji Deshmukh. He also detailed Chhattisgarh’s resources and ongoing efforts to combat Naxalism and advance development. Speaking of the Muler village, the CM highlighted how administrative changes impacted the lives of its people. He urged the newly elected officials to use the training effectively. He stressed the need for quality in development projects and suggested regular field visits. The program also included the launch of publications and the planting of a sapling to signify growth and prosperity.
