Balod: The Chhattisgarh education system is facing renewed scrutiny after a headmaster, Sarjuram Thakur, was caught drinking alcohol while on duty at the Government Primary School in Chipra village. The headmaster reportedly attempted to conceal the alcohol in a Sprite bottle.
The incident comes at the start of the new academic year, raising concerns about the state of discipline within schools. The headmaster’s actions were discovered during an unexpected inspection by the Kusumsakasa BJP Mandal President on Tuesday.
This is not the first time the headmaster has been involved in such an incident; he was previously suspended for a similar violation. The BJP leader has filed a complaint with the Block Education Officer (BEO), calling for decisive action to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for the students.
