Authorities in Korba are investigating a case of homicide where an elder brother is accused of killing his younger sibling. The incident took place on Sunday when a physical altercation occurred, resulting in the younger brother’s death. The older brother used a stick to inflict the fatal injuries. The conflict began with the younger brother’s unruly behavior while under the influence of alcohol. The older brother’s frustration culminated in the violent act. No other family members were present at the time of the incident, as they were working in the fields. The jurisdiction of the Pali police station is overseeing the case.
Details reveal that Tulsi Ram, 30, and Ram Singh, 40, resided in the village of Kodar. Both brothers were farmers and lived in close proximity. The events began when Tulsi Ram, intoxicated, arrived at his older brother Ram Singh’s home and began banging on the door aggressively.
After the act, the accused went to inform the neighbors.
Ram Singh attempted to stop Tulsi Ram from his actions; however, the younger brother persisted and became verbally abusive. Enraged by this, Ram Singh attacked Tulsi Ram with a stick, striking him on the head. Tulsi Ram died at the scene. Following the attack, Ram Singh informed the neighbors about the death of his younger brother.
The police, responding to information from the villagers, reached the site and arrested the suspect. Additional SP Nitish Thakur confirmed the arrest of Ram Singh. Police are continuing their investigation.
