Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various development projects in Raigarh district during his visit to Dharamjaigarh, with a total cost of ₹62.36 crore, just before Independence Day. These projects include 45 inaugurated works worth ₹42.99 crore and the groundbreaking for 70 works, valued at ₹19.36 crore.
Inaugurated projects include: a bridge over the Bhengari Nala on the Panikhet to Aedukala road in Dharamjaigarh (₹5.25 crore), a bridge over the Kharun River on the Pakargaon road in Lailunga (₹6.39 crore), and a single village water supply scheme in Kharsia, Lailunga, and Dharamjaigarh (₹28.53 crore).
Other inaugurations included retrofitting water supply schemes, solar-based water supply schemes, and primary health centers in Bahirkela and Lamdand (Dharamjaigarh and Lailunga respectively), each costing ₹75 lakh. A community building constructed at a cost of ₹7 lakh in Konpara village of Ghargoda development block was also inaugurated. The CSPDCL 33/11 kV, 3.15 MVA work at the sub-center Khargaon in Dharamjaigarh, which cost ₹1.25 crore, was inaugurated as well.
Foundation stones were laid for: tribal boys’ hostels in seven locations across the district (₹13.28 crore), with the locations being Dhaurabhatha, Tamnar, Lailunga, Ghatgaon, Gharghoda, Bakaruma, and Dharamjaigarh. Other foundation laying ceremonies were conducted for a watchtower at site room number 643 RF in Dharamjaigarh (₹20.33 lakh), the construction of a patrolling camp at room number 11 RF Kumarta (₹10.88 lakh), along with multiple projects focused on infrastructure enhancement, including culverts, CC roads, footpaths, RCC culverts, sheds, community buildings, panchayat buildings, and Mangal Bhavans in Dharamjaigarh (₹2.54 crore). Finally, repairs to 44 health centers in Lailunga, Dharamjaigarh, and Kharsia assembly constituencies were initiated, with a budget of ₹3.22 crore.
