Kanker, May 28, 2025/ Under the final phase of Susashan Tihar, today Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai’s helicopter landed in Gram Mandri of Kanker (North Bastar) district. He set up his Chaupal under the Panchayat shed and interacted with the common villagers while taking information about the schemes. He said that it is my good fortune that I got the opportunity to meet you people. Today, meeting all of you, I feel like being among my family.
Chief Minister Shri Sai, while explaining the significance of Susashan Tihar, said that applications were taken in the first phase, action was taken on them in the second phase, and now in the third phase, the government has reached your village. We have worked in the interest of the public in the last one and a half years. Susashan Tihar is also our report card and an opportunity to evaluate the work done by the government. Through this, we are knowing the status of implementation of public welfare schemes on the ground. Apart from us, ministers, MPs, MLAs, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary and other senior officers are also participating in Susashan Tihar.
Addressing the villagers, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that as soon as the government took oath, 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas were approved in the cabinet under Prime Minister Modi’s guarantee. The Chief Minister said that all those in need will get houses, those whose names are in ‘Awas Plus’ will also be given houses. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that by giving the amount of ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana’ directly to the accounts of more than 70 lakh women, the door to economic prosperity and women empowerment has been opened. The beneficiaries who are still deprived will also be added.
The Chief Minister said that Atal Digital Seva Kendras have been started in Gram Panchayats from April 24. This will provide banking and other services to the villagers in the village itself. This service has been started in 1460 panchayats so far. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the government is closing all avenues of corruption by using technology. The process of transferring the name along with the registry has been simplified through the new registration process.
*Reality of schemes tested through dialogue*
Chief Minister Shri Sai, who suddenly reached Gram Mandri, interacted with the villagers in Chhattisgarhi. The Chief Minister took information from the beneficiaries regarding electricity व्यवस्था, ration distribution and the amount of Mahtari Vandan Yojana. On this occasion, beneficiary Itwarin Achala told that she is depositing the amount received from Mahtari Vandan Yojana by opening an account in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana in the name of her daughter. He said that he assured the villagers that the government is with every needy, and public welfare is the top priority of the government.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai announced the approval of Rs 20 lakh for the construction of Mandri High School boundary wall, approval of Rs 5 lakh for the boundary wall in Mandri Anganwadi Kendra building, approval of Rs 15 lakh for the construction of 600 meters of CC road from Salhebhat main road to Tirau Salam Ghar, approval of Rs 3.50 crore for line expansion for irrigation from Jhura Nala to the fields.
On this occasion, MLA Kanker Shri Asha Ram Netam, Zilla Panchayat President Smt. Kiran Nureti, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Basav Raju S., Commissioner Bastar Shri Doman Singh, DIG Amit Kamle, Collector Nilesh Kshirsagar, Superintendent of Police Shri Indra Kalyan Elesela, along with other public representatives, officers were present. In the program, the book “Nai Disha” prepared by the District Administration for the preparation of youth competitive examinations was released and distributed to the youth. Along with this, materials, demo keys of houses, trycycles etc. were distributed to the beneficiaries of public welfare schemes of various departments.
