Raipur, June 05, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today attended the closing ceremony of the two-day Budhalpen Karsad and Mandri Festival 2025 organized at Sambalpur High School Karathi in Kanker district as the chief guest. This festival is an important event to preserve the traditional tribal culture and traditions of the region.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister worshiped the revered deity of the tribal community, Budhadev, and wished for the well-being and prosperity of the state. He said that this festival is a celebration of the traditions and cultural heritage of our ancestors, which is a means of connecting the new generation with their roots. Congratulating the organizers, the Chief Minister said that today is also World Environment Day. Under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign being run by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, he appealed to all the people to plant a tree in the name of their mother.
Chief Minister Shri Sai announced Rs 25-25 lakh for the construction of Gondwana Samaj Bhawan in Bhanupratappur and Durgukondal, Rs 10-10 lakh for the construction of sheds in 12 Parganas of Gondwana Samaj, Rs 5-5 lakh for the construction of sheds in 5 circles, and the construction of a building for Gram Panchayat Sambalpur.
The Chief Minister said that after the formation of the government in Chhattisgarh, 18 lakh houses have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, out of which 3 lakh people have also been given housewarming by Prime Minister Shri Modi. He said that many innovations like Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Chief Minister Tirth Yatra Yojana, Tendu Patta Bonus Yojana, Sushasan Tihar, Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Yojana, PM Janman Yojana and Home Stay Yojana have been implemented in the state for the economic empowerment of women.
The Chief Minister informed that with the objective of providing banking facilities in the villages, 1460 Atal Digital Seva Kendras (Common Service Centers) have been opened so far in Gram Panchayats. In the coming time, Atal Digital Seva Kendras will be started in every panchayat. In the program, the Chief Minister handed over a check of Rs 75 lakh to Collector Shri Nilesh Kumar Mahadev Kshirsagar as an incentive to the aspirational development blocks by the NITI Aayog. On this occasion, the Chief Minister felicitated the talented students and launched the Mawa Modol Manthan Yojana. Through this scheme, employment-oriented training will be given to the youth according to their interests. The Chief Minister also felicitated five TB-free Gram Panchayats of the district.
The program was also addressed by Kanker MP Shri Bhojraj Nag, Antagarh MLA Shri Vikramdev Usendi, Bhanupratappur MLA Smt. Savitri Mandavi and Kanker MLA Shri Asharam Netam. All the speakers described this event as a commendable effort in the direction of keeping the tribal culture alive. In the festival, colorful cultural programs were presented under the chairmanship of Shri Harish Chandra Kawade, President of Gondwana Samaj Coordination Committee Bhanupratappur. The youth and girls dressed in traditional attire gave शानदार performances of folk dances, which filled the entire premises with the colors of the festival.
On this occasion, Zilla Panchayat President Smt. Kiran Nareti, President of Matsya Kalyan Board Shri Bharat Matiyara, former MP Shri Mohan Mandavi, former MLAs Shri Devlal Dugga and Smt. Sumitra Markole, senior officers, a large number of villagers, public representatives and students were present.
