    Held Direct Dialogue with Villagers

    Raipur 21 May 2025/
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s helicopter landed today in Dhodrikala (Nawapara) hamlet, located in Hargawan village under Shankargarh Janpad Panchayat. The Chief Minister’s visit was a surprise inspection as part of the ‘Good Governance Festival’ program. Upon seeing the Chief Minister suddenly descend from the helicopter in the village, a wave of joy and excitement spread among the villagers. A large number of people rushed to see the chopper. The villagers welcomed the Chief Minister in a traditional manner. Women washed Chief Minister Shri Sai’s feet, applied tika (vermilion mark) on his forehead, and garlanded him with Sal leaf garlands. Welcome songs were also sung. Hargawan village is a tribal-majority area, and people of the Pahadi Korwa particularly backward tribe reside here.

Chief Minister Shri Sai held a ‘chaupal’ (community gathering) under the jackfruit, mango, and Mahua trees in Dhodrikala hamlet. At the chaupal, the Chief Minister held a direct dialogue with the villagers and listened to their problems. The villagers spoke openly about their concerns.

A woman reported a problem with water supply, on which the Chief Minister sought factual information from the officials present on the spot. Similarly, Smt. Deepu Baghel from Belsar village mentioned her inability to cultivate on forest land lease. On this, the Chief Minister directed the district administration and police department to conduct an immediate investigation and take appropriate action.

The Chief Minister asked the villagers whether they were receiving the benefits of government schemes, whether the Patwari (village accountant) visits the village, and if there were any revenue-related issues.

Out of the 19 houses sanctioned in Dhodrikala hamlet under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana, 16 houses have been completed. The Chief Minister also sought information regarding this and discussed the status of the implementation of the schemes with the villagers.

Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Singh were also present with Chief Minister Shri Sai. Upon receiving information about the Chief Minister’s arrival, the District Collector and Superintendent of Police also reached the spot.
