Raipur’s Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, made a surprise visit to Shubham “K Mart” to directly experience the benefits of GST savings and connect with the public. The visit was aimed at understanding the impact of recent GST cuts and engaging with citizens. He purchased groceries and household items for ₹1,645, paying via UPI, to demonstrate the changes.
During his visit, the Chief Minister spoke with shoppers, asking about the effects of the GST rate reductions on the prices of household goods. He inquired about the impact of the changes with shoppers, noting their experiences and gathering their feedback. The interaction created a sense of appreciation among the people. The Chief Minister’s approachability was noted by all.
Further conversations involved the discussion of GST reforms. The reduced prices of medicines and groceries brought much relief. The Chief Minister said, “This is the real intention: to ensure the improvements reach the public.” He then purchased items himself and, seeing the updated prices, added, “These reforms are not just on paper; they reflect a positive change in every family’s life.”
The Chief Minister also urged people to support the Swadeshi movement, receiving a positive response. The people said, “You move forward, we are with you.”
