On July 17th, Chhattisgarh took a significant step towards its developmental goals as Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched the ‘Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision@2047’ document. The Chief Minister highlighted that the vision represents a concrete plan for building a self-reliant, prosperous, and developed Chhattisgarh, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047. This vision is designed to guide Chhattisgarh towards becoming one of India’s leading and most developed states. The CM emphasized the critical role of ambitious thinking, clear goals, and public participation in achieving development. He also mentioned the positive reception the vision received at the NITI Aayog meeting chaired by the Prime Minister. The vision document reflects the aspirations of the state’s three crore citizens and was developed through collaboration with experts, government departments, and public forums. The state aims to increase its steel production to 45 million tons by 2030, and also increase the production of coal and iron ore. The state is focusing on multi-modal connectivity and is also working on projects like the Bodhghat project to expand irrigation and power generation. The state will focus on 13 key sectors through 10 missions to promote balanced economic, social, and cultural development. The aim is to increase the state’s GDP from 5 lakh crore rupees to 75 lakh crore rupees by 2047. The state also aims to bring the unemployment rate to less than 1 percent by 2047 and is working to improve healthcare and education facilities. The state is also working on single window system 2.0 to give approvals to industries with a single click and focusing on tourism.
