Police have arrested a teacher in connection with the murder of his wife. The teacher is accused of killing his wife by slitting her throat with a sharp object. The body has been sent for a post-mortem. According to reports, the incident occurred when the victim, Sundari Usendi, was traveling with her daughter. Her husband, Rupsingh Usendi, along with his brother, stopped her. A fight ensued, and the victim was killed. Her daughter, Sumitra, was instructed to escape before the attack. The victim was the second wife of the accused, and she is survived by two children.
The accused is known to have four wives. The teacher was reportedly involved with another woman, which the victim did not approve of, leading to frequent arguments. The victim had previously filed a case against the teacher. The court had ruled that the husband provide monthly financial support.
