A significant anti-Naxal operation in the Abujhmar forests of Chhattisgarh has resulted in the elimination of six high-ranking Naxal leaders. The encounter took place near the Narayanpur-Maharashtra border during a security forces search operation. After the clash, the forces conducted a thorough search, recovering AK-47 rifles, SLRs, a significant amount of explosive materials, and other essential items. This operation was launched following intelligence reports of increased Maoist activity in the Abujhmar region. The gunfight started on Saturday afternoon and lasted for several hours, leading to the death of six Naxals. The security forces have sealed off the area, and search operations are ongoing, as there are reports of other injured Naxals hiding in the forest. Identification of the deceased Naxals is underway, with the possibility that some are criminals with existing cases against them.
