The Chhattisgarh government, through its Sports and Youth Welfare Department, has announced the State Sports Decoration Awards for the years 2023-24 and 2024-25. The awards aim to recognize exceptional performance at the state and national levels by athletes, coaches, and referees. The last date to submit applications is June 26, 2025. The awards are named in honor of the state’s martyrs. The Shaheed Rajeev Pandey Award carries a cash prize of ₹3 lakh, the Shaheed Kaushal Yadav and Veer Hanuman Singh Awards offer ₹1.5 lakh each. The Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Award and the Vinod Chaubey Samman provide a ₹25,000 incentive. The Chief Minister Trophy will reward outstanding teams with prizes from ₹1 lakh to ₹5 lakh based on the number of players. Financial assistance will be provided to selected athletes through an Inspiration Fund and Diet Money; the Diet Money is available for those under 19. Coaches and referees will also be acknowledged. Application forms can be downloaded from http://sportsyw.cg.gov.in, or obtained from the District Sports Office or the State Sports Directorate, Raipur. Required certificates must be attached. The Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman requires recommendations from state sports associations. The selection process is based on sports association recommendations, achievements, and eligibility. Athletes, coaches, and referees must submit applications by June 26, 2025. Incomplete or unclear applications will not be considered, and the selection committee’s decision is final.
