A disturbing event has unfolded in Korba, where a CAF (Chhattisgarh Armed Force) constable shot and killed his uncle-in-law and sister-in-law. The incident took place in Umedi Bhantha, within the Hardi Bazaar police station’s jurisdiction. The constable, who was on duty at the Bango Dam, went directly to his in-laws’ home and opened fire. The uncle-in-law and his daughter were killed instantly. The gunshots caused chaos in the area, with people screaming and running for safety. The constable attempted to escape after the shooting, but the police quickly arrested him. It’s understood that the constable had been divorced from his wife some years ago, and a dispute had been ongoing between his and the woman’s family. The divorce appears to have been a source of significant distress for the constable, leading to this violent act.
