A CRPF jawan in the Injram region of Sukma district has died by suicide after shooting himself. The incident triggered immediate responses. Senior police officials were on the scene quickly, and the body was sent for a post-mortem, with an investigation initiated immediately.
Reports suggest the incident occurred around 10:30 PM last night. Nilesh Kumar Garg, a jawan from the 219th Battalion of the CRPF, shot himself with his service rifle. The deceased was a resident of Katni, Madhya Pradesh.
A six-page suicide note was reportedly recovered. A CRPF investigation is ongoing.
