Advani celebrated his 98th birthday on Saturday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other national leaders extending warm wishes and recognizing his immense legacy. Advani, a key architect of the BJP’s rise and a recent recipient of the Bharat Ratna, was widely lauded for his decades of dedicated public service and instrumental role in shaping India’s political landscape.
Prime Minister Modi praised Advani as a statesman of “towering vision and intellect,” highlighting his commitment to India’s development and his embodiment of selfless duty and strong principles. He emphasized Advani’s lasting impact on the nation’s democratic and cultural foundations, wishing him continued good health and a long life.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah described Advani as a constant inspiration and a leader who consistently prioritized the nation. Shah acknowledged Advani’s pivotal role in strengthening the BJP across the country and his contributions to national security as Home Minister.
BJP National President J.P. Nadda and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined in honoring Advani. Nadda emphasized Advani’s life as an example of integrity, ethics, and patriotism, noting his significant efforts in party expansion and mentorship. Adityanath highlighted Advani’s lifelong dedication to national welfare, calling him a role model for public service.
