In a bizarre incident in Sasaram, Bihar, a groom from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, was robbed by a fraudulent bride and her associates. The groom had come to Bihar to marry through a broker, agreeing to pay ₹2.5 lakhs. However, the bride and her accomplices, posing as family members, fled the scene with the groom’s cash, jewelry, and presents.
The groom, Monu Raj Shivhare, had come from Morena district to marry a woman named Kajal Kumari. A fake priest conducted the wedding ceremony at a Dharamshala in Sasaram. After the ceremony, the bride, along with her accomplices, escaped with ₹2.5 lakhs. The police have initiated an investigation and have apprehended a woman named Rajo Devi for questioning.
