A brazen act of theft has shaken the high-security area of 12, Circular Road in Patna, where the residence of a BJP MLA was targeted. The thieves stole basic amenities such as fans, coolers, and even the taps, highlighting a concerning rise in criminal activity.
The victim, Murari Prasad Gautam, a former minister from the Congress during the Mahagathbandhan government, now a BJP MLA, resides in an area with the Chief Minister’s residence and the former Chief Minister Rabri Devi’s home nearby. He supported the NDA after a change in government.
Gautam reported the theft on June 22, revealing that the thieves took fans, coolers, the bed, and taps. The former minister suspects drug addicts. He has filed a written complaint at the police station. He also mentioned that he suspects the role of anti-social elements.
A formal complaint has been filed, and police are investigating the matter. Gautam believes that the theft was likely the work of individuals residing in nearby shantytowns and has requested action against them.
