An incident occurred early Saturday morning where a truck collided with vehicles in the convoy of Tejashwi Yadav, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). The accident took place near Goraul in Vaishali district. Yadav was on his way back to Patna from a political rally in Madhepura. The convoy had made a stop for a tea break on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway at approximately 12:30 AM. While Yadav was a short distance away from the vehicles, a truck collided with the stationary vehicles of his security team. Thankfully, Yadav’s personal vehicle was not involved in the accident, and he remained unharmed. Three security personnel were injured in the collision and were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Tejashwi Yadav visited the injured officials, expressing his concern and checking on their condition. The injured officials are now in stable condition, although they sustained injuries. The truck driver was apprehended at the scene by local police, and the truck was taken into custody. Authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident, with initial reports pointing to potential factors such as speeding or driver fatigue. The event has once again highlighted concerns about the safety of political figures traveling long distances on Bihar roads, particularly during nighttime hours. RJD supporters responded on social media, expressing relief and calling for improved road safety measures and better traffic rule enforcement. Party leaders have called for a comprehensive review of VIP security protocols on the road, especially under conditions of poor visibility and during night travel. Tejashwi Yadav, known for his active political life and extensive travel within Bihar, has resumed his normal activities and assured his followers of his safety.
