An accident involving the convoy of Tejashwi Yadav, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, occurred in Vaishali district on Saturday. A speeding truck crashed into two vehicles within the convoy near Goraul on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway. Yadav was taking a break when the accident took place. While he escaped without injury, three of his security personnel sustained injuries and were promptly taken to a local hospital. The incident has heightened concerns regarding road safety and the protection of political figures in Bihar, especially during late-night travel.
