Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav had a close call on Saturday morning when a truck collided with his convoy in Vaishali district. The incident occurred near Goraul while he was returning to Patna from a political rally in Madhepura. The convoy had stopped for a brief break along the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway at approximately 12:30 AM. While Tejashwi Yadav was away from his car, a truck hit the stationary vehicles of his security personnel. Fortunately, Yadav’s personal vehicle was not damaged, and he was not injured. Three security officials were hurt in the crash and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital. Tejashwi Yadav visited them to check on their well-being after the accident. The injured officials are now in stable condition, but they suffered from injuries, including significant bruising and minor fractures. Local police arrested the truck driver at the scene and impounded the truck. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident, which may have been caused by speeding or driver fatigue. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of political figures traveling long distances in Bihar, especially during the night. RJD members took to social media to express their relief and demand improved road safety measures and better enforcement of traffic laws. Party leaders have requested a comprehensive investigation into VIP security protocols during road travel, especially considering poor road conditions and visibility issues. Tejashwi Yadav, known for his hectic political schedule and frequent road travel, has resumed his activities, reassuring his supporters that he is safe and sound.
