Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, an RJD leader, narrowly escaped a serious accident on Saturday morning when a truck hit vehicles in his convoy near Goraul in Vaishali district. The incident happened as Yadav was returning to Patna after attending a political rally in Madhepura. The convoy had stopped for a brief break on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway around 12:30 AM. Tejashwi Yadav was a short distance away, enjoying a cup of tea, when the truck collided with his security vehicles. Thankfully, his personal vehicle was not involved, and he remained safe. Three security officials were injured in the crash and were immediately taken to a local hospital. According to reports, Tejashwi Yadav visited the injured officials, expressing his concern and support. The injured officials are now in a stable condition, although they suffered bruises and minor fractures. The truck driver was arrested on the spot, and the truck was taken into custody. The police are investigating the cause of the accident, including potential factors such as speeding or driver fatigue. This incident has once again highlighted the safety concerns for political figures traveling long distances on Bihar roads, especially late at night. RJD supporters expressed relief on social media, while others demanded improved road safety measures and stricter enforcement of traffic regulations. Party leaders have called for a comprehensive review of VIP security arrangements on the road, particularly in situations with poor visibility. Tejashwi Yadav, who maintains a busy political schedule and frequently travels throughout Bihar, has returned to his regular activities and assured his followers that he is safe and unaffected by the incident.
