A motorcade carrying RJD leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav was involved in an accident in Vaishali district on Saturday morning. A speeding truck struck two of the convoy vehicles near Goraul while Yadav was returning to Patna after a political rally in Madhepura. The collision occurred around 12:30 AM on the Patna-Muzaffarpur highway when the convoy paused for a tea break. Yadav, who was not in the vehicles at the time, was unharmed. Three of his security personnel were injured in the crash and were promptly taken to a nearby hospital. The truck driver was apprehended by the local police, and the truck was taken into custody. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. The incident has raised concerns regarding the safety of political figures traveling on Bihar roads, especially during nighttime travel. RJD supporters have expressed gratitude that Yadav was safe and have called for better road safety and enhanced enforcement of traffic regulations. Party leaders are urging a thorough investigation into VIP security protocols for road travel, particularly when visibility is poor. Tejashwi Yadav has since resumed his normal routine and has assured his supporters that he is safe and unconcerned by the event.
