During a press conference, Tejashwi Yadav, the RJD leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, strongly criticized the Nitish Kumar government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He brought up concerns about recent happenings in the state and the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Bihar. Yadav criticized the government’s lack of support for the suffering citizens, highlighting the absence of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at the scenes of these events. He also stated that the Prime Minister’s event in Siwan was a political rally.
Yadav called the Prime Minister’s speeches as empty promises. He wanted the Prime Minister to clarify what his government has done for Bihar, including employment, education, and health improvements. Yadav also stated that the central government has only made promises, which were not kept. Yadav added that the public is now aware of the BJP’s unfulfilled pledges. The press conference is a sign that the opposition is planning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with the RJD focusing on the problems of unemployment, inflation, and law and order.
Earlier, Yadav said that the Nitish Kumar government was under the influence of the RSS and BJP. He stated that individuals affiliated with the RSS were being appointed in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). Yadav also stated that Dalits, backward classes, extremely backward classes, and Muslims in the state were being treated unfairly. He also stated that RSS was involved in the obstruction of 65% reservations, in the denial of job opportunities for reserved categories, and in sidelining officials from disadvantaged groups in administrative positions. The Chief Minister has not made any comments on these claims.
