Rohtas, Bihar, is reeling from a tragic incident where the wife of Inspector Gyandeep Kumar, stationed at Kargahar police station in Sasaram, died by suicide. The woman’s body was discovered hanging in the couple’s residence. The police have initiated a probe into the circumstances surrounding the death and have sent the body for a post-mortem examination. The marriage took place five months ago in Motihari. The inspector’s family comes from the Taru area of Muzaffarpur district. The incident happened on Wednesday night when the inspector arrived home and found his wife’s body. Preliminary investigations suggest a potential dispute between the couple. The deceased was originally from Hajipur in Vaishali district and had been living in Rohtas with her husband after their wedding. The SP, Roshan Kumar, has notified the deceased’s family, and an FSL team is preparing to collect evidence from the scene. A medical board will conduct the post-mortem, and further action will be taken based on the family’s application.
