A delegation of senior BJD leaders made a visit to Naveen Patnaik in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, where he is now in a private room. This transition from the ICU marks a positive development in his recovery.
Patnaik, the former Chief Minister of Odisha and the current Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly, had a successful surgery for cervical arthritis on June 22, following his arrival in Mumbai on June 20. The surgery, which lasted about four hours, prompted widespread prayers and support within Odisha. Given his age of 78, the situation was closely watched.
According to Prem Patnaik, Naveen is recovering well, with a procedure having taken place on Sunday. He also mentioned that Naveen was able to walk to the bathroom independently. He expressed gratitude for the public’s well wishes and prayers, anticipating a swift recovery.
