Authorities in Patna, Bihar, have arrested a man named Guddu Paswan for a horrific act of violence against a 4-year-old boy. The accused is alleged to have used a blade to inflict severe injuries on the child’s private parts. The crime is believed to have been motivated by Paswan’s suspicions of an affair between his wife and the child’s father. He lured the child to his home, offering chocolates, and then committed the brutal act. Paswan fled the scene but was later captured.
The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Gauri Chak police station. During interrogation, Paswan confessed to the crime and explained his reasoning. He stated that he suspected his wife was involved in an illicit relationship with the victim’s father. The motive was revenge for the alleged infidelity.
The attack occurred on a Saturday. Paswan called the boy to his residence under the pretense of giving him chocolates. The boy, who was visiting his maternal grandmother for the Raksha Bandhan festival, was taken to the suspect’s home. Once there, the severe injuries were inflicted. The child’s screams alerted family members, who quickly arrived at the scene.
Before the family could intervene, Paswan fled. The injured child was immediately transported to a hospital, where his condition remains critical. The family reported the incident to the police, initiating an investigation that led to Paswan’s arrest. The police investigation continues as they gather evidence. It’s understood that Paswan had a confrontation with the child’s maternal relatives some days before this event, which is currently considered as a possible contributing factor to the tragic incident.
