A video showing a man displaying a Palestinian flag and shouting provocative slogans at Bhagalpur railway station in Bihar has ignited a police investigation. The footage, widely shared online, has prompted immediate action from local authorities. The video depicts a man standing on a parcel trolley while others below chant controversial slogans. The man, dressed in traditional attire, is seen atop a parcel trolley, waving a Palestinian flag and shouting slogans such as “Palestine Zindabad” and “Israel Murdabad,” as well as using the slogan “Sar Tan Se Juda.” Official verification of the video’s authenticity is still pending.
The video is alleged to have been uploaded from an Instagram ID identified as ‘Arman Hussain’. The same account features a video of the individual interacting with Rahul Gandhi. The date and time of the recording remain unverified.
The police have commenced an investigation into the incident. Hridayakant, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Bhagalpur, has confirmed that a detailed inquiry is underway. Police are aiming to identify the individual and understand his motives. The SSP stated that any actions that disrupt social harmony will not be tolerated.
Former Union Minister Ashwini Choubey has voiced strong condemnation. He stated that such individuals are a threat to the nation’s unity and integrity. Describing the flag-waving as an attempt to disrupt social harmony, he referenced the 1989 Bhagalpur riots, alleging a planned political motive, potentially involving Congress and RJD supporters. The police are actively searching for the individual and conducting a thorough investigation. The administration has urged the public to remain peaceful.
