On Monday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar marked the beginning of the extension of the JP Ganga Path project in Patna. The project, budgeted at ₹6495.79 crore, will cover a distance of 35.65 km. The expansion will significantly enhance connectivity, linking Patna-Ara-Buxar via NH-922, the Lucknow-Ghazipur Purvanchal Expressway, and the Ara-Mohania (NH-319).
At the launch, Kumar mentioned the start of the Koilwar extension, and he emphasized the need for quality construction completed on schedule. The Chief Minister also initiated five other road projects, collectively 225.475 kilometers long, with a total investment of ₹2,900 crore. These road projects are set to be constructed in various districts, including Banka, Munger, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Bhojpur, Chhapra, Siwan and Nawada.
